Exploding diamonds; a girl’s be… Never mind! In appreciation of a nice piece of print advertising for Boots No7’s latest product, I felt compelled to see if I could re-create everything from scratch as a motion graphics piece. I crafted the product label in Adobe Illustrator and mapped the texture onto the model I constructed in Cinema 4D R16. I then modelled a diamond and used X-Particles 3 to emulate what could’ve been an explosion at the De Beers factory… After which I composited the renders into a Digital 6 Sheet using Adobe After Effects CC.
